The Give Yourself a Gold Star Project is a mental wellness project I have undertaken in my spare time to try and help others- it’s simply this: your mind heals and you do feel better when you tell yourself, or see, or hear, positive messages in your environment. Maybe you can’ t afford therapy or a lot of expensive stuff, but most people have a phone or tablet, and can look at pictures, or read or hear text. My contribution to the effort to help people consists of a little website (TBA, still in testing) containing both healing words and some examples of images people can download and use, along with a custom message maker so you can make yourself, or someone you care about, a postive message that may help lift their spirits.
I don’t keep track of who uses it, or what they write or download, and I do not allow people to leave content, including messsages. If you want to comment on my Gold Star Project website or any of its contents, you can post on your own social media with the hashtag #goldstarproject, and I will accomodate the requests or commentary I am able to. I do this to prevent edgelords from hijacking the site with spam or cruelty. It may not matter to everyone, but it matters to me that there is a positive little island in the internet where people can do something nice, hopefully, for themselves or someone else.
If you like this idea or the site and would like to comment or reward me with a tip for my time and effort, you may do so at the below KoFi link.

I also take comments on my blog, MadGirlScientist Fiction and Essays, on Substack.
